Halewood Area Board Allocation

Young film-makers tackle issues of Gun, Knife and Gang Culture.

Students at Halewood College showed off their film making skills as well as tackling serious issues with their own film on gun, knife and gang culture.

The film was part of the Clapperboard project which is a film-making youth project is in its 4th year working with young people across Merseyside.

KHT are one of the sponsors of this event which gives students great experience working with the industry’s professionals as well as helping them put their ideas for scripts into a real film.

Flower Power....

Parts of Halewood have been transformed after a blooming marvellous scheme to bed in 50 flowerbeds.

KHT and partners have given £5,000 of Area Board funding to Halewood Wardens who have installed the flowerbeds in the area.

Residents are also getting involved by helping water the plants and weeding and it is making a huge difference already. Not only do the neighbourhoods look brighter but there is less anti-social behaviour.
