Huyton Area Board Allocation
Keep Fit with Rebound Dance Class.
The Rebound Dance Class proves that you’re never too old to have fun and keep fit at the same time.
A Huyton based dance class has been providing specialised keep fit classes especially for the over 50s. Many people from that age group complained that generic keep fit classes were too much high intensity and not suitable for them, so the Rebound Dance Class was born.
The class which is funded by KHT's Huyton Area Board meet every Monday at 10am and the tutor even specialises the classes to make sure everyone has fun.
Joan Peters is 85 years old and loves the class: “I have been going to keep fit for 36 years and I love coming here. I have Osteoporosis so the lessons are ideal for me. The tutor is great, I make lots of friends and the music is so relaxing too.”
If you want to get involved come along to the class every Monday at 10am at the Rebound Dance Class on Rupert Road, Huyton.
KHT help serve up apple treat.
The Apple Trust Nursery in Huyton was given a tasty boost as KHT donated £2,000 from Huyton Area Board to help them build new kitchen facilities.
As well as providing a childcare facility, the charity supports vulnerable families in the Huyton area.
They specialise in providing support for parents and young families including a respite service.
The Trust, which has been running for 7 years, also provides a nursery for 0-2 year old children, a pre-school nursery, a breakfast and after school club as well as an older person’s lunch and film club.
The £2,000 funding will help the Apple Nursery continue to supply these services to the Knowsley community. For more log onto:
