The centre serves residents within a one and a half mile radius and weekly activities will be used to promote healthy lifestyles, improve fitness, self esteem and promote teamwork.
Area board funding was recently used to provide additional security to homes in Tiverton Close, Taunton Road, The Crescent and Wood Lane in Huyton. There have been some problems in recent years with young people migrating to the area and acting in an anti-social manner. Improved re-enforced security doors will complement the new railings, front walls and security lighting fitted recently to prevent youths from entering the flats and congregating in the communal areas.
