Super fund
As well as Area Boards for Halewood, Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot
there is also a Super fund. Super fund of £100,000 to support
initiatives across the borough.
KHT Advantage, in partnership with Princes Trust and Musical
Youth, offered the first of its Get Started with Music courses in
August 09. The course which involved 12 young people from Knowsley
entailed writing and composing their own music, recording and
producing a CD, locating a suitable venue and delivering a
performance for friends and family. Amazingly, this all took place
within 5 days and the gig in one of Liverpool’s premier live
music venues, The Picket, will be long remembered by those who were
present.

Clapperboard
The recent Clapperboard projects like the one run in Halewood recently are other examples of funding from KHT's Super Fund.
The project at Halewood has also been rolled out throughout
Knowsley. Here students showed off their film making skills
as well as tackling serious issues with their own film on gun,
knife and
gang culture.
The project culminated in an awards night at the Philharmonic Hall
where awards were made to the Best Director, Best Actor,
Actress and Best Film.
