Adaptations

You may need adaptations to your home to make it easier to manage and more suitable for your needs. An adaptation can be a piece of specialist equipment, an extra fitting, or a minor alteration to your home. Adaptations include grab rails, walk in showers, lever taps etc.

To apply for an adaptation visit any KHT office, phone us on 0151 290 7000 or email us at enquiries@k-h-t.org. Requests can also come via a Knowsley Council Occupational Therapist or through a specialist organisation such as the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) or Age Concern.

Moving to another property

It may not always be possible to carry out a major adaptation in your home. If this is the case we may ask you to consider moving to another property. In some circumstances this may be with another Housing Association; however we will ensure that any property offered is within the Borough of Knowsley.
