Knowsley leads the way in energy efficiency

Knowsley is officially the best region in the country for conserving energy.

The result of a survey carried out by British Gas is not only good news for Knowsley but also for Knowsley Housing Trust and Fusion 21, who are carrying out major improvements that are helping many residents to use fuel more efficiently.

The Trust has so far spent tens of millions of pounds providing new windows and doors, loft insulation and roofing for the fourteen and a half thousand homes it manages across Knowsley. Much of this work has been carried out by Fusion 21, a procurement partnership of which KHT is a leading partner.

KHT’s Chief Executive Bob Taylor commented: “We are delighted to be playing our part, with Fusion 21, in improving energy efficiency across Knowsley.
