Future Jobs Fund
KHT is giving Knowsley Residents the Advantage of Job
Opportunities with Future Jobs Fund.
KHT is creating over 60 jobs over the next two years to support the
government in its aim to get young unemployed people back into
work. The Trust has been successful with Fusion21 in securing
funding to support these new jobs which are aimed at 18-24 years
olds.
Over the next two years we will create 6 months jobs for local
people around low rise caretaking, fencing and painting and energy
performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for Knowsley residents to gain
skills and work experience with an excellent employer demonstrating
our commitment to community investment. We are also contributing to
the sustainability of our neighbourhoods by reducing worklessness
and poverty. Many of the jobs are “green jobs”
supporting the environment and piloting new services for our
tenants such as cleaning and caring for our low rise blocks of
flats…so everyone’s a winner.
The aim is to take on the following people in the next 6
months:
November 2009 - 13 jobs (6 will be Neighbourhood Support Assistants
to work in 3 teams of 2 covering low rise cleaning they will have 2
driver/labourers to support them and we will recruit 5 people to do
painting and fencing in the maintenance team).
December 2009 – 8 jobs (4 general labourers, 2 business
admin)
January 2010 – 6 jobs (general labourers)
March 2010 - 6 jobs (general labourers)
April 2010 - 6 jobs (general labourers)
