KHT is reminding all of its tenants to ensure they get their gas appliances checked every year. Gas Safety checks are a very important legal requirement that KHT must carry out on an annual basis. The reason for this is that an inspection can spot if an appliance is leaking carbon monoxide, which is an invisible, odourless and tasteless gas. Carbon Monoxide can damage your health and in the worst cases cause death.

A small number of customers have failed to allow our staff access into their homes for this work to be carried out. By denying access to your home you could be putting both your own and other people’s lives at risk. This is why, in such cases, we are committed to taking legal action where appropriate.

We now have a facility in the Tenant’s Area of the KHT website which enables you to find out when your next gas servicing inspection is due. To be able to make use of this facility all you need to do is register on this site. If your survey is due shortly, you can call us and book an appointment for one of our heating and ventilation fitters to inspect the gas appliances in your home and make sure they are safe.
