KHT to serve a Notice Seeking Possession on O'Connor family
Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) has started proceedings to evict
the family of a teenager who murdered Michael Causer.
James O’Connor admitted causing the murder of Michael Causer
in an alleged homophobic attack back in July 2008. The crime was
committed whilst James O’Connor was a resident at Reeds Road
in Huyton. Any criminal act or antisocial behaviour by a tenant or
a member of their household constitutes a breach of their tenancy
and will result in KHT seeking to repossess their home
Earlier today KHT served a Notice Seeking Possession on James
O’Connor’s parents and will be asking the courts to
evict them from their home in Reeds Road.
KHT’s Chief Executive Bob Taylor said: “KHT will not
tolerate any form of Hate Crime from our tenants or anyone visiting
a KHT home.
We are committed to working alongside our partners to help deliver
safe, stable communities and by taking this action we hope to send
out a clear message to our neighbourhoods.”
