Community Open Day - A Huge Success
This year's Knowsley Housing Trust Open Day attracted an
unprecedented number of people. Well over 1000 people came along to
the event which took place at the King George V playing fields in
Huyton. The Heart of Knowsley Community Day had something for
families and people of all ages, with people coming from all parts
of Knowsley to enjoy the day. As well as entertainment from local
groups, there was also a mini farm, a display of circus skills and
a junior football competition. The winners of the football
tournament were:
Under 9's - Metcalf Kitchens
Under 11’s – Halewood Juniors
Those who came along also had the chance to speak to teams from KHT
and their partners in an information zone. What made a very special
day complete was the fact that the sun shone, which was no mean
feat given recent weather in the North West.
KHT's Director of Neighbourhood Services Alan Disley said; "It's
fantastic to see so many people here. We want to involve as many of
our customers as possible in how we manage our homes. Throughout
the day we've received lots of positive and valuable feedback that
we will use to develop our services and everyone who has come along
has had a really enjoyable day."
