Residents move into new homes in Kirkby
The £1m project means that 7 x 3 bedroom houses and 1 x 2 bedroom bungalow have been built for the area. This follows on from the KHT new build projects in Westhead Walk and Broad built also in Kirkby last year.
Completion of the build was delayed due to original contractor Whites going into administration, but KHT were committed to completing the scheme and keeping their promises to the local community.
The previous site was subject to heavy Anti Social Behaviour, vandalism and a lack of housing for the demand in the area. The new houses gives the estate friendly, modern and state of the art homes for the area.
Tenants started moving into their new homes last week.
