Knowsley Credit Union

Knowsley Mutual Credit Union, was launched in Kirkby recently.

This is the new name for what was Kirkby Credit Union, KHT supports Knowsley Mutual through funding from KHT Advantage and works in partnership with Knowsley Mutual in order to promote their service to our customers. Their work helps to deliver our financial inclusion strategy through providing affordable credit and encouraging a savings culture with members, many of which are KHT tenants.

Knowsley Mutual (formerly Kirkby Credit Union) is open to anyone who lives or works in the borough of Knowsley. Knowsley Mutual offers a range of services including;

• Share Account against which you can borrow, which carries free life cover and has paid a dividend of at least 3% for the past 10 years. Junior Saver accounts – (from birth to 18 years) and a Christmas Saver Account
• Standard loans (repayable at 12.6% APR) and Home-Maker Loans (repayable at 25% APR) to help local people access affordable electrical, household and white goods-in partnership with Coop Electrical.
• Local Trader Discount Scheme. Members can get between 5% and 10% discount from a number of local traders
