Active Challenge and Race For Life 2009 - Volunteers Needed

Appeal for Volunteers to support the Active Challenge and Race for Life 2009

We desperately need to recruit Volunteers 18 years and over to act as Race Marshall’s and Stewards on one or both of the following Dates (Equipment and Full on Site training will be provided as well as full details inc Directional map, Full Instructions and details about the event.) Under 18s are welcome but must work alongside another Adult 18 plus.

Sunday May 17th and Tuesday July 14th are 2 very important dates in the Knowsley Events Calendar for different reasons as you will see

Sunday May 17th is the date for the Active Knowsley Challenge Walk/Run/Cycle ride taking place at Knowsley Hall starting at 9.30am (Cycle Ride) and finishing at 12noon with the Active Adult Challenge With the two Guided walks, Orienteering and Junior Challenge squeezed in between at 9.45am and 10.00am start of the two walks Junior Challenge at 10.15am and 11am the Adult challenge.
(Volunteers needed on site between 9am and 1pm)


Tuesday 14th July is the date for the Race for Life again at Knowsley Hall which is the women only 5k run or walk
Organized in partnership with Cancer Research Uk which last year raised over £100.000 to fund research into this most dreadful of diseases.(Volunteers needed on site between 6pm and 9pm)

Volunteer Duties

Volunteer duties at both events will range from
A-Race Marshalling.

B- Distribution of Water/Medals

C-Litter Picking



If you volunteer your services, and are prepared to give up a couple of hours of your time to help at one or both events I want to hear from you right away.

A- Active Challenge
B- B-Race for Life or A and B for both
