MOBILITY AID ASSESSMENTS

Knowsley Trading Standards have been alerted that sales people are operating in the Liverpool area. They are cold calling on residents, sometimes phoning them first, to make an appointment to assess them for mobility aids that they consider are essential products for unsuspecting residents. These salespersons are not trained occupational therapists.

WARNING - BEWARE OF BOGUS GRANTS BEING OFFERED FOR DOUBLE GLAZING

This follows a number of complaints received throughout the Northwest region relating to a business offering European Grants for double glazing. The business concerned has embarked on a large advertising campaign in local newspapers and in leaflet drops, throughout the Northwest. Complaints against the trader include false claims of grants being offered, no cancellation rights being offered, poor workmanship, not refunding deposits.
