Bank Details Scam
Knowsley Trading Standards have been alerted by a Knowsley resident that they had received a telephone call from a person alleging to be from Knowsley Council.
They informed the resident that they would be entitled to a
rebate and then went on to request the resident’s bank
details.
Please note Knowsley Metropolitan Council or KHT would never
contact a resident in this way.
If you receive such a telephone call which alleges they are from
Knowsley Metropolitan Council which request your bank details, do
not provide these details.
