Silver Surfer’s Graduate

Knowsley Housing Trust’s ‘Silver Surfers’ all graduated recently following on from their recent IT training.

Residents from KHT’s sheltered scheme in Halewood, all proved to that age is no barrier as the participants, all over 55 years young all passed their course.

The OAP IT whizzes all took part in a programme organised by Digital Unite which gave the sheltered scheme free internet, training and IT equipment.

The graduation ceremony was the culmination of months of lessons and also helped set up a support network to ensure they all continue to surf the web.

Resident Tommy Glover said:

“The whole experience has been so helpful. I have learnt so much and now I can even keep in touch with my family round the world!”

The scheme is set to go from strength to strength with more and more residents all hoping to join their very own IT crowd.”
