Knowsley Trading Standards Warning
Knowsley Trading Standards Section are warning residents to be
on the look out for a white Transit van, registration mark KP52
MTX,
The van is being driven by a white male, 6’ brown hair slight
Irish accent, wearing blue trousers and blue polo top.
The man is selling fake leather sofas from the back of the
van.
The sofas are covered in plastic sheets, they do have flame
retardant labels on which have been hand stitched inside the seams,
and these are also fake.
The sofas are reported to be damaged, defective and unsafe. The man
claims they are old stock that his boss just wants to get rid of
and they are stock from ex Barratt show homes.
He shows paperwork which he claims is the recommended selling price
for the sofas and charges £300 upwards.
