KHT Board member and a KHT resident Pat Canning and his wife, Glenys celebrate Theology degree
KHT Board Member Pat Canning and his wife Glenys (both KHT residents) are celebrating this month after both completing a Bachelors Degree in Theology awarded to them by Liverpool Hope University.
Pat and Glenys started their Pastoral Leadership and Theology course in September 2008 at Hope University, Childwall. They attended class each Monday during term time and one Saturday a month. The pair graduated in the Anglican Cathedral in July 2012.
Pat who is a prominent figure in his community opted to do the course as there was no resident Priest in his local parish of St. Agnes, RC parish, Huyton. Pat was a go-to figure in the Parish and felt he could gain more knowledge through the degree to pass on to the parisoners of the Church.
As each module was based on parish life and how to cope with working in a parish along with Church teaching on each of the subjects covered, the qualification acts as fantastic benefit to both Pat, his wife and also the parish of St Agnes.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Pat and Glenys on their fantastic achievement gaining their bachelor degrees. They both are an asset to the Parish and their community.
