Annual gas safety check
Each year we will send you an appointment to visit you to carry out your annual gas safety check. This is to make sure that all your gas appliances are safe and working correctly.
If the appointment slot we have sent you is not convenient to you, you can contact us to arrange a different time or date. Please help us to keep you, your family and your neighbours safe by arranging and keeping your gas safety appointment as soon as possible once it is due.
You can contact us to re-arrange your annual gas safety check in a number of ways:

- In person– you can drop in to any of our Office locations or One Stop Shops
- By post– you can write to any of our Office locations or One Stop Shops .
As a reminder, as well as being an important benefit for your safety, it is also part of your Tenancy Agreement that you must provide us with access to carry out the gas safety check. This is because it is so important for you, and also for others in your community for us to prevent a problem which could cause a gas explosion or a leak.
Gas safety is so important that if you fail to contact us or to grant us access to your homet to carry out the check after we have sent you three notices, it could result in legal action. This could be a court injunction granting us access, or could even be possible eviction for breach of your Tenancy Agreement.
Also, if there is a gas safety emergency and we have not been able to gain access to your home to carry out your gas check, we may have to force entry and re-charge you.
