Leaseholders

A leaseholder is someone who has bought the lease of a flat. It is simply a long-term tenancy, the right to use and occupy your home for a long period. As a KHT leaseholder you have bought the right to live in your property for a fixed number of years, initially 125, which will decrease year by year.
As a leaseholder you are responsible for paying your share of the costs of managing, maintaining and improving the block. As the freeholder and landlord, we have a legal duty to charge you your share of the costs, and you have a legal duty to pay them.
This section of the website contains information that we hope will be useful to you and includes documents such as the Leaseholder Handbook, Service Charge (Rights and Obligations), Summary of Insurance Cover and an Easy guide to major work.
