Community Open Day - 8th June 2012
Despite the downpours, our Community Day was once again a huge success with a petting farm, climbing wall, football tournament, circus skills and much more.
Thousands attended this year’s free event at George V Sports Complex in Huyton where families also enjoyed displays from local dance and music groups, martial arts and a Zumba fitness demonstration and got information and advice at stalls held by various organisations.
KHT officers were on hand to give residents advice on many of its community services.

Awards
We have been shortlisted for many awards over the past few years.
Recently we have won a Business Green Leaders Award for our Lordens Road homes.
Multi foil insulation has been developed to replace large thick insulation materials, but this project is believed to be the first time it has been used in this type of housing refurbishment.
A protective film has been fitted around the external walls and roof rafters – the two largest heat loss surfaces– of the three properties, treating them as a single building.
The multi foil insulation stops warm air escaping, improving insulation and air tightness. Fresh air is let in through a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system.
As air is stopped from escaping, 90 per cent of heat can be recovered from outgoing air, meaning only 10 per cent of air in the home needs to be heated up.
This means that residents living there will save money on their energy bills.
