Working in partnership is really important to us as an organisation and being positive about partnerships is one of our core values.
We have a number of key partnerships at both local and national levels which help us provide great services to our customers and are always looking for ways in which we can develop those partnerships further.
We expect all of our partners to demonstrate they’re committed to working in a socially responsible way. Acting in isolation we can achieve some of our goals but working together we can achieve more. Examples of our partnerships
On behalf of the Local Strategic Partnership, we worked jointly with Knowsley Borough Council, the Knowsley Chamber of Commerce, Liverpool John Moores University, Knowsley Community and Voluntary Services, Oasis and Fusion 21 to establish a Unit for Social Enterprise (USE) to help social enterprises in Knowsley. We have worked with a local charity called CREATE to build a community café in one of our neighbourhoods in Halewood. The area had very few places for local people to meet and socialise. As well as providing this facility the Green Room café created training and employment opportunities for 17 long term unemployed people.
During our procurement process we aim to work with partners who offer added value for our tenants, for example our Investment Programme contracts require our partners to provide a minimum of 52 training weeks for one local resident for every £1.5 million of works contract value. We also work with strategic partners to deliver added value services to our tenants including financial support and advice, support into employment and skills…anything that will support our tenants to sustain their home and their community.
