Ways to get involved

By getting involved with KHT’s Customer Involvement team you can make a difference.  Here are some of the events and activities you can get involved in.

KHT Community Day

This annual open day is KHT’s biggest and most high profile event.  The free day is held each summer and features entertainment for all the family including dance performances and sporting activities.  The event also gives you the opportunity to speak to many of our teams and partner agencies.

Estate walkabouts

Estate walkabouts are an opportunity for a group of tenants to walk around a particular area with KHT staff and other agencies to identify neighbourhood issues.

KHT 200

The KHT 200 are a group of tenants who have volunteered to act as a consultation group from their own home. They are sent four questionnaires a year, seeking their views on the services KHT provides.

Reading group

Our reading groups are a group of customers that help to put together our publications and our newsletter – Living in Knowsley magazine .

Focus groups

Focus groups are small groups of no more than twelve people commenting on and reviewing specific KHT services for example, our repairs service.

For more information on our Focus Groups please go to our Focus groups page.

Dream Schemes

Dream Schemes are an exciting new way for young people in Knowsley to get involved in a variety of community projects such as:

  • neighbourhood clear ups
  • making hanging baskets, and
  • building bird boxes.
Tenant Federation

The Tenant Federation acts as an umbrella group for all interested tenants and resident group delegates. It meets three times a year to talk about a range of KHT policies and services or other relevant issues.

Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs)

TRAs are run by the community, for the community. They seek to influence and improve their area, and their concerns are not limited to housing issues. They also act as a community network bringing local people together.  For your local TRA go to the Your neighbourhood page.

Area Boards

Each main district of Knowsley has an Area Board that monitors KHT’s performance in areas such as:

  • national and local standards
  • tenancy management
  • neighbourhood issues, and
  • repairs and maintenance.

For more information on our Area Board please go to our Area boards page

The Landlord Board

Our management board is a voluntary body that oversees the running and management of KHT. It is made up of four tenants, four council nominated members and four independent members.

Scrutiny Panel

The scrutiny panel is a group of six tenants who monitor KHT’s performance against the Local Offer service standards, results of satisfaction surveys and complaint outcomes.

For more information on our Scrutiny Panel please go to our Scrutiny panel page.

Tenant Inspectors

Tenant Inspectors are tenants who volunteer to independently inspect KHT's services to ensure they are being provided efficiently and to the highest standards of customer care.
