Neighbourhood Plans
A neighbourhood plan is a document that contains local information that allows Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT) and its customers to understand the local and environmental issues in a neighbourhood.
This information will help KHT to manage the regeneration of each of our 51 neighbourhoods.
KHT have developed 51 neighbourhood plans – 1 for each neighbourhood, these identify local issues. And contain facts and figures about each neighbourhood.
Each neighbourhood plan also contains an Action Plan. This action plan lists various initiatives that KHT propose to do in the neighbourhood.
Examples of issues include Anti-social behaviour, Financial Exclusion, Litter and Graffiti.
What is the purpose of a Neighbourhood Plan?
The purpose of a neighbourhood plan is to inform KHT and its partners about the issues in a neighbourhood so that we can make more knowledgeable decisions about how we manage our activities in neighbourhoods.
The plan will help us make decisions about;
• The future physical investment in KHT housing stock.
• The development of housing where there is demand
• The disposal of housing where there is no longer a demand
• The development of new housing products and services – such as Assisted Purchase and Social Homebuy
• The targeting of resources to support community regeneration
• Alternative methods of housing management
How can I access the neighbourhood plans?
You will be able to access the neighbourhood plans on the KHT Intranet site and KHT customers will be able to access the neighbourhood plan for their neighbourhood via KHTs Internet site, local housing office or requesting a copy from the Neighbourhood Regeneration Team.
